🎄 The DCHS Band will host its annual Holiday Mart this Saturday, November 15, from 8:00 AM–3:00 PM in the DCHS Commons and Gym.

Admission is free!
Come shop with over 70 vendors, enjoy multiple food trucks, and enter to win door prizes throughout the day.
Santa will also be available for pictures with children!

🚁 Announcement: Air Evac & DSCC Visit — Wednesday, November 12th

On Wednesday, November 12th, an Air Evac helicopter will be landing in the DCHS auxiliary parking lot after school as part of a special learning experience for our HOSA students.

In addition, Dyersburg State Community College will be on campus showcasing their simulated ambulance, giving students an up-close look at real-world emergency medical technology.

Please note — this is a planned educational event, and there is no cause for concern regarding the helicopter landing or ambulance presence.

We’re excited to provide this unique, hands-on opportunity for our future healthcare professionals! 🧡🤍

Cooler weather means warmer clothes — and The Giving Room is ready to help! 🍁 Stop by Saturday, October 25th from 10:00–12:00 under the gym at Newbern Elementary School to browse a wide variety of donated items for families.
📍 Location: Under the NES gym (park in the lot on Washington Street)
✨ All items are donated by the community and free to the community!

Testing begins this week in all schools and will continue into the following week. Families can help students be at their best by ensuring a good night’s sleep, breakfast in the morning, arriving to school on time, and sending them off with encouragement.

We’ve officially wrapped up the first month of the 2025–2026 school year, and what an incredible August it has been! From the excitement of open houses and the energy of pep rallies, to classrooms full of learning, creativity, and growth — our schools are off to an amazing start.

We are so proud of our students, who have stepped into this year with enthusiasm and determination, and of our teachers and staff, whose dedication and passion make all the difference each day. 👏 Together, you’ve created a strong foundation for what’s sure to be an outstanding school year.

🎉 Huge congratulations to our Digital Arts students at Dyer County High School who have recently become Adobe Certified Professionals! 👏 📸 Our Digital Arts 1 students, taught by Mrs. Sanderson, earned their certifications in Adobe Photoshop after months of growth and hard work. From their very first assignments in the opening weeks of class to achieving industry-level certification, their progress has been incredible! 💻🎨 You’ll also see a few shots of them proudly presenting their work to visiting 8th grade students during recent tours. 👏 💼 Our Digital Arts 2 & 3 students have also been putting in serious work—earning certifications in Adobe Illustrator, and many even adding extra certifications in Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Photoshop through Mrs. Kin Stewart’s class. A huge thank you to Lindsey Parker for facilitating all of the testing after students practiced diligently for weeks. 🖊️ Plus, check out students creating with our brand new Wacom Tablets in Mrs. Sanderson’s advanced classes — the same digital tools used by professional designers. When asked what they thought, students said: “They’re low-key fire!” and “We’re glad we get to use these to create!” 🔥 We’re incredibly proud of their accomplishments — way to go, Choctaws! 🧡
