Holice Powell Elementary School

Holice Powell is so excited to announce that third grader, Beckett Leath, has been named to the Tenn Under 10 Class of 2026. Tenn Under 10 honors ten exceptional third graders each year with post-secondary scholarships. These Literacy Leaders are nominated by educators for demonstrating resilience and growth on their literacy journey. Beckett and his parents, Rebecca Campbell and Dalton Leath, along with nominating educator, Monica Robbins were invited to attend the Literacy Alliance Dinner at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville. Beckett received a $2,000 post secondary scholarship. He was able to meet Governor Bill Lee, State Senator Ed Jackson, and authors Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen.
